Last week, seven of the nine Seattle City Council members pledged to meet community demands to defund SPD by 50%, to reinvest that money in community-led health and safety programs, and to call for the release of protesters.

Alex Pedersen (District 4) and Debra Juarez (District 5) were the two councilmembers who DID NOT commit to support community demands to defund SPD. Let them know that we still expect them to defend black lives, and support community demands to defund SPD
